This is an installation I did in which I fabricated tables out of steel, wood, and black vinyl as a way to invite viewers to engage with the small, interactive bronze sculptures which were displayed on them. The audience was very receptive and enjoyed being able to touch the artwork. In fact, the viewer must pick up each piece to see/experience them fully. The handheld aspect really bridges the separation between art and viewer, emphasizing the shared space between sculpture, environment and audience. Although each piece is small, the weight of the bronze and the complex textures give them a large presence.
